What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We typically work through a retainer system per hourly basis. On clearly defined projects we also offer fixed pricing, but with some restrictions. Either way, we do whatever it takes to deliver the good work.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We start with a phone or skype conversation for us to understand exactly what needs to be done. In person meeting is recommended, but not necessary. We are thorough on asking key questions to our clients and what exactly you need. After this process we then provide a full proposal that details our various deliverables, pricing, and the time frame to complete the job.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

15+ years of experience in graphic design, website design, website development, and branding. I worked as an art director at Valenti Advertising, led by Mike Valenti a former Leo Burnett creative director. I have a sculpture and graphic design degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. I also attended Univ. of Michigan Master of Architecture.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I’m a visual guy from the day I was born. I always appreciated art, loved the design, and admired advertising and its business. My keen eye for design has served me well over the years. in 2007 I got the job as a Jr. art director at Valenti where I learned my branding craft. I learned from the best, and I strive to be the best.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have clients in many different industries all over the world. My clients ranges from the biggest privately held structural engineering firm in LA to a villa architect in Antigua to a makeup artist in Atlanta.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Los Angeles based Perma Guardâ„¢ (permaguard.net) is a stain protection company established in 1987. They needed a strong branding presence to strengthen their business in SoCal area. It took us 12 weeks of hard work to develop the new brand voice, visual identity, various print materials, and a responsive website. Result? A new brand with an attitude is born.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Work with those who understands how branding works. We believe small businesses can take that next step by understanding how branding works, and how branding can impact your business. Work with those who can tell brand stories. All projects should be focused connecting people with strong emotions. Work with those who are able to provide brand strategy, design, content, and technology, so your project becomes something special.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

1. Who’s your competition? 2. What will this project do for you? 3. Do you love your logo? Why? 4. What’s your inspiration? Why? 5. What is your budget? 6. What’s your time frame? 7. Do you want a highly quality work for a reasonable pricing(that would be us) or a low quality work with highly affordable pricing(that would not be us)? 8.
